Wikimedia Hackathon 2019, Prague, Czechia

The adventure started even before I got to Prague. I’ve never visited Bratislava before, and since it was on my way to Prague, I’ve spent a day there.
At the hackathon, I’ve attended several sessions. Mentoring, code health, development environment, Wikimedia Technical Committee, quality assurance, code review…
I’ve organized a few sessions. Postman, writing the first Selenium test and patterns and anti-patterns in Selenium tests.
I’ve helped a couple of people with short but tricky tranlations to Serbian and Croatian. I’ve had discussions with a couple of people on deployments. I’ve helped in fixing a failing Jenkins job and discussed how to run Selenium tests in a tricky setup.
I’ve also had a lot of fun. I’ve thought one person how to solve a Rubik’s cube, attended a short punk concert, beer tasting, juggling and slacklining sessions.
